ORLANDO ESSENTIALS
The number one reason to go to Disney World, er, umm, Orlando, is to see Disney World. It would be easy to spend three or four full days divided between Epcot, the Magic Kingdom and Disney MGM studios. Don't leave Orlando without seeing it.
Other major entertainment options are Universal Studios, Sea World, and Wet n' Wild. Orlando is in central Florida. A short drive away in opposite directions are Tampa- St. Petersburg and Cape Canaveral, both of which merit visits- we'll be adding more information on these destinations.
Orlando Sea World - This Anheiser-Busch marine theme park is similar to, but larger than the Sea World Parks in other parts of the USA. It contains a huge state-of-the-art roller coaster and several thrill rides, but the main attractions are the marine shows featuring seals, dolphins, killer whales and water skiing acrobatics. It is all very entertaining and educational.
Discovery Cove - Across from SeaWorld Adventure Park , this tropical paradise provides for discovering tropical fish in a coral reef, snorkeling with stingrays, and interacting with birds in an aviary, as well as swimming and playing with dolphins during a half-hour dolphin encounter.
Musical Entertainment - There are a lot of entertainment options in the Orlando area. The world's largest Hard Rock Café is located at Universal Studios City Walk and the giant globe shaped Planet Hollywood is at Disney's West End.
